Blood is a brutal bond.
Trespass Against Us follows the Cutler family, who live as outlaws in the British countryside and survive by raiding, poaching and staying one step ahead of the police. Chad Cutler is pulled between the hard rules of his father and the needs of his own children as the law closes in. The film traces a family life built on defiance, loyalty and the cost of carrying on a way of living that no longer fits the world around it.

The film was made in the UK and the US, and it was directed by Adam Smith. Michael Fassbender plays Chad Cutler, the son trying to balance duty to his family with his own responsibilities, while Brendan Gleeson appears as the father whose authority still shapes the household. Rory Kinnear is also part of the cast, adding to the pressure around a family already under strain. Their roles keep the story rooted in conflict between generations and in the pull of inherited loyalties.

Set in the English countryside, the film uses open land and remote estates to frame a life lived outside the law. It has the feel of a crime drama with family tension, but also a sense of melancholy as the Cutlers face the end of a tradition. The tone is rough, tense and grounded, with the landscape reflecting both freedom and entrapment.
