“Meeting that special someone can be a real adventure.”
Ghosted is a 2023 film that starts as a bright romance and quickly turns into a globe-spanning adventure. Cole, an ordinary man, falls hard for the mysterious Sadie and is stunned to learn that she is a secret agent. Before their second date can even happen, the pair are pulled into a mission that sends them racing to save the world. The film mixes comedy, action, and romance with a light dramatic edge.
Dexter Fletcher directs the film, shaping the shift from meet-cute to espionage chase. Chris Evans plays Cole, whose eagerness and confusion drive the story as he tries to keep up with events far beyond his usual life. Ana de Armas plays Sadie, the woman whose secrecy and skill turn the relationship into something far more dangerous. Adrien Brody also appears in the film, adding to the cast around their journey.
Made in the United States, Ghosted uses its 117-minute runtime to move between flirtation, danger, and comic panic. Its tone stays playful even as the stakes rise, giving the story a breezy, fast-moving feel. The film leans on the contrast between an ordinary connection and an extraordinary mission, which keeps its romance and action in constant tension.
