Everyone deserves a chance to celebrate.
When a conservative Indiana high school shuts same-sex couples out of its prom, two lesbian students are left facing a public rejection at the one night meant to celebrate everyone. Their situation draws in a group of Broadway performers who see a chance to turn a local controversy into a gesture of support. What begins as a school conflict grows into a story about visibility, embarrassment and the need to be seen in a place that would rather look away.

The film was released in 2020 and runs 131 minutes. It was made in the US and is presented in English. Its cast includes actors playing the students at the center of the prom dispute and the Broadway outsiders who arrive to back them up, giving the story both a teenage perspective and a theatrical one. The ensemble drives the comedy and the emotional friction as the two worlds collide.

Set in small-town Indiana, the film moves between a school social event and the larger pressure of community judgment. Its tone mixes romance, comedy and drama with sharper crime-thriller edges in the way public conflict escalates into confrontation. The result is a bright, performative story about exclusion, solidarity and the awkward power of making a scene for the right reasons.
