Courage is immortal.
Thor is a 2011 fantasy adventure about a proud warrior god whose reckless choices bring punishment and exile. Cast out from Asgard, he is sent to Earth and cut off from the power and status he once took for granted. Stripped of his place, he has to adapt to life among humans while a threat from his own world moves toward Earth.

Kenneth Branagh directs the film, shaping its clash between myth and modern life. Chris Hemsworth plays Thor, whose arrogance gives way to hard-won humility as he faces the consequences of his actions. Anthony Hopkins appears as Odin, the father whose judgment sends Thor away, while Tom Hiddleston plays the brother tied to the conflict that follows. The cast gives the story its family tension as well as its sense of scale.

Made in the United States, the film runs 115 minutes and keeps its focus on collision: godly power against human limits, duty against pride, and two worlds forced into the same conflict. Its tone mixes spectacle with a lighter, more playful edge, even as the story moves through banishment and the search for redemption. The result is a mythic superhero tale that balances grandeur with a grounded coming-of-age arc.
