What if you had 72 hours to save everything you live for?
John Brennan is pushed into a desperate race when his wife Lara is serving time for a murder she insists she did not commit. Three years after her conviction, he is still raising their son and trying to keep daily life intact while searching for a way to clear her name. When their final appeal fails, the situation narrows to one dangerous choice that could reunite the family or destroy what remains of it. The story follows a man who refuses to let the case end with the verdict.

The film was made by Paul Haggis, who shapes the tension around John’s growing desperation and Lara’s confinement. Russell Crowe plays John as a college professor forced into action, while Elizabeth Banks appears as Lara, the convicted wife whose fate drives the story. Liam Neeson is among the supporting cast, adding weight to the world around the central couple. Their roles keep the focus on a family under extreme pressure.

Set in a bleak, high-stakes present, the film moves through prison walls, legal setbacks and the strain of ordinary life under extraordinary pressure. It blends crime and thriller elements with drama and romance, giving the story a tense, emotional edge. The tone is anxious and determined, built around loyalty, fear and the cost of hope.
